Adam Nemethy, Acting Director of N-Wave, is responsible for the organization's strategic vision and operational oversight, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of N-Wave's critical national network infrastructure for NOAA, DOC, and its federal agency partners.
Joining NOAA in 2014 and N-Wave in 2018, Adam quickly became a key leader, demonstrating a strong focus on innovation, technological advancement, and efficiency. Promoted to Deputy Director in 2021, he managed day-to-day technical operations, successfully optimizing internal processes and customer-facing services. His most significant achievement was transforming N-Wave from solely a Wide Area Network (WAN) provider to a comprehensive campus services provider, expanding its utility and impact across NOAA. His progression from network engineer to senior leadership provides him with a deep, holistic understanding of the technological, management, and operational demands of N-Wave's mission-critical services. His leadership balances technical depth with strategic foresight, ensuring responsiveness to NOAA's evolving missions.

Adam is a decorated veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving over 12 years with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He held critical IT roles, including LAN and IT Manager, demonstrating early leadership in mission-critical settings.

He holds a bachelor's degree in information technology and resides in the DC metro area with his wife, Yukie.
