Balan Ayyar is the Founder and CEO of percipient.ai, a Silicon Valley based artificial
intelligence and vision firm focused on creating Constant Integrated Awareness TM in
national security, sovereign AI and commercial missions. Balan is a seasoned CEO
and retired USAF General Officer. Before founding percipient.ai, Balan was the CEO of
a $100M+ high growth technology services firm. His last role in the profession of arms
was as the Commanding General of the Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435, in
Kabul, Afghanistan. He has served in four combatant commands, as the Military
Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, The Commander of the USAF Recruiting Service
and in the White House as a White House Fellow. He is first Indian American General
Officer in the US Armed Forces and a Member of the Council on Foreign
Relations.  Balan is the recipient of several distinguished awards including the Legion of
Merit, Defense Superior Service Medal and Bronze Star as well as the NAACP’s
Meritorious Service Award. He is married to his college sweetheart, Kristin and has
three beautiful children.
