DON Advanced Wireless Technologies IPT Director

William A. Sellers serves as the Director for the Advanced Wireless Integrated Product
Team (IPT) within the Department of the Navy Chief Information Officer (DON CIO/CTO)
office for Emerging Technologies. In this role, he spearheads the Navy's strategy for
adopting and securing next-generation wireless technologies.
Previously, Mr. Sellers was the 5G Contested Logistics Director at OUSD(R&E), where
he shaped DoD-wide 5G transition strategy. As a Subject Matter Expert at NIWC
Atlantic, he drove the integration of 5G/xG into critical defense infrastructure. His
expertise spans tactical 5G networks, software-defined networking, and cybersecurity,
underscored by a CISSP certification and a patent in cryptography. With a career
focused on transitioning advanced R&D into operational reality, he brings a wealth of
experience in delivering resilient communications capabilities for the warfighter.
