Bryan Lopez is the Director for Emerging Technologies for the Department of the Navy,
Chief Information Officer. During his career, he served all over the world and in war
zones, leading teams at the tactical, operational and strategic levels in military
operations performing missions in intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance,
electronic warfare, space operations, cybersecurity, engineering, acquisition and
research and development.
He holds an executive MBA and master’s degrees in foreign affairs and electrical
engineering. He graduated from the prestigious Defense Language Institute’s Russian
language course in Monterey, CA, the U.S. Air Force Command and Staff College in
Montgomery, AL and the Joint Forces Staff College in Little Creek, VA.
Bryan and his wife live in San Diego, CA. They have five children, who have all served
or are serving in the military.
