Chip Daniels is a senior program executive with deep experience in software, cybersecurity, and large-scale federal operations. He has held executive roles across the IT software sector, most recently as VP, Strategic Alliances for Venntel. Previously, he established the first Government Affairs function at SolarWinds, where he partnered closely with federal agencies, Congress, and the Administration in the aftermath of the SUNBURST cyber attack. His work focused on strengthening federal cybersecurity posture, driving strategic engagement, and aligning industry capabilities with national security needs. A former U.S. Army combat arms officer, Chip has led organizations ranging from small teams to a 22,000-person division, including multiple combat deployments. His military career includes senior Pentagon roles on the Joint Staff and Army Staff —where he coordinated Congressional engagement and helped secure more than $178 billion through the National Defense Authorization Act—and service as Chief of Staff for U.S. ForcesAfghanistan, overseeing a $3.4 billion budget and supporting over 13,000 service members. Chip holds a B.S. from Virginia Tech, an MBA from Duke University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He is the president and co-founder of the 1-5 Cav Black Knight Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Alumni, Inc. He and his wife, Lisa, have three children and reside in Fairfax Station, VA.
