Ta Ratana is the Senior Director of Business Development at Kepler Communications, where he leads strategic initiatives to expand the company’s government and commercial partnerships. Kepler is pioneering Internet connectivity in space, and Mr. Ratana plays a key role in advancing its mission through market development and stakeholder engagement. With over two decades of experience in the space industry, Mr. Ratana’s career reflects the sector’s dynamic evolution. He began his journey at Space Systems/Loral (now Maxar Space Systems), contributing to the development of commercial geostationary communication satellites. He later held key roles at leading aerospace organizations including Boeing Satellite Systems, Raytheon, and The Aerospace Corporation, gaining comprehensive experience across both established and emerging space technologies. Before joining Kepler, Mr. Ratana served at SpaceLink, a startup focused on building an optical data relay network in medium Earth orbit (MEO), aimed at revolutionizing real-time communications for space assets. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
