Davey Gibian

DEPUTY CDAO FOR WARFIGHTING MISSION AREA

Mr. David (Davey) Gibian is the Deputy Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer (DCDAO) for the Warfighter
Mission Area for the Department of War (DoW) within Research & Engineering (R&E). In this role, Mr. Gibian is
responsible for ensuring America’s warfighters and commanders have the AI-enabled capabilities necessary to
train, fight, and win.

Mr. Gibian previously served as Chief Technology Officer for U.S. Army Special Operations Command, a senior
advisor to U.S. Special Operations Command, and a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow. His private
sector experience includes co-founding CalypsoAI, leading teams at Palantir, and serving as Partner and Chief
Artificial Intelligence Officer for Highlander Partners. He also served as an enlisted airman in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Gibian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with departmental honors from Columbia University. He holds patents
in machine learning (ML) and authored the adversarial ML reference book, Hacking Artificial Intelligence.
