MG David Hall
Deputy Commanding General, Army National Guard
U.S. Army Transformation and Training Command
Major General David Hall is the Deputy Commanding General (DCG), Army National Guard for Army Futures Command (AFC). In this capacity, he is responsible for supporting National Guard integration into Army transformation at AFC. Additionally, he serves in the National Capital Region working with Army and DoD leadership to accelerate modernization and transformation efforts. Previously, Maj. Gen. Hall served as the J8, Programs and Requirements for the National Guard Bureau, where he oversaw programming, future capabilities, requirements, and innovation across the National Guard for both the Army and Air National Guard.
Maj. Gen. Hall was commissioned as an Aviation Officer from the United States Military Academy. He has led from the platoon through the brigade level. He has experience at the State and National level, having served overseas in Korea, Kuwait, Iraq, Egypt, and Ukraine. He has extensive domestic operations experience in support of natural disasters. Maj. Gen. Hall has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and advanced degrees in Administration from Central Michigan University and Strategic Studies from the Army War College. He is a National Security Studies Fellow with Syracuse University and a graduate of the Homeland Security Seminar from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Maj. Gen. Hall is married with three children.
