Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
As the Executive Director of the Defense Logistics Agency Logistics Policy and Programs Directorate (J34) in the Logistics Operations (J3) Fort Belvoir, VA. Ms. Vogeler leads a team of over 400 civilian and military personnel. She is responsible for the development and dissemination of enterprise-wide policy of key business and supply chain management functions for Order Fulfillment, Retail, Planning, Technical & Quality Assurance, Inventory Management, Transportation, Disposal and Cataloging. Ms. Vogeler also has Audit Process Health and Business Process Integration within the directorate.
J34 conducts research and analysis to provide DLA leadership with fact-based insights that shape policy development and support informed decisions internal to DLA, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff and military service partnership programs and initiatives.
Before being appointed to the Senior Executive Service, Ms. Vogeler was the J34 Deputy Director. Prior to that, she was the J3 Logistics Operations Chief Strategy Officer responsible for managing the long-term strategy for DLA business processes. She has worked in various DLA positions to include Planning and Alignment Chief, Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) Portfolio program manager, the Integrated Data Environment and Global Transportation Network Convergence (IGC) business manager, Lead Data Quality Analyst, and a DLA/Air Force cataloger.
Ms. Vogeler received a bachelor’s degree in communication with a specialization in Public Relations from Michigan State University. She earned a master’s degree in Communication from Michigan State University. Additionally, Ms. Vogeler completed the Federal Executive Institute and Harvard Kennedy School Executive Leadership Programs.
