Former Director, Office of Logistics, Central Intelligence Agency
Mr. Malato is a distinguished senior executive with 28 years of combined U.S. Government and industry experience, including 23 years with the Central Intelligence Agency, where he attained the Senior Intelligence Service rank. As Director of the Office of Logistics, he led the CIA’s global supply chain enterprise, overseeing end-to-end procurement, contract governance, and supply chain  risk management across a worldwide mission footprint. He also held an executive leadership role at the National Reconnaissance Office, where he directed global operations spanning logistics, facilities, emergency management, and business services. Recognized for transforming complex organizations through innovation, technology integration, and strategic alignment, he has consistently built cross-functional teams that deliver operational excellence and sustainable performance in high-risk, high-impact environments. 
Mr. Malato brings exceptional expertise in talent management and workforce development, having led the CIA’s Office of Logistics workforce and served as Deputy for the Office of Enterprise Services. In these roles, he was widely regarded as a mentor and leader dedicated to cultivating a resilient, high-performing workforce capable of meeting evolving mission demands. His leadership philosophy emphasizes integrity, accountability, and service-driven excellence.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia Southern University, a master’s degree from the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School. As he transitions from Federal Service, he  is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. He resides in Reston, Virginia, with his wife, two children, and two dogs, and is an active community volunteer and youth sports coach.
