Jose A. Rivera is the Vice President for Science Application International Corporation’s (SAIC) Enterprise Digital Solutions. Mr. Rivera provides leadership for 7 programs spanning cloud technology, information technology services, research and development, and systems integration. He has 10 years of experience with industry in various program management and leadership roles, and retired from Active Duty Air Force, as a Colonel, after 25 years of service.
Mr. Rivera commanded the 65th Air Base Wing, Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal, the 5th Combat Communication Group, Robins AFB, GA and the 314 Communications Squadron, Little Rock AFB AR. Additionally,during Operation Iraqi Freedom, he served as the Special Advisor for Coalition Affairs to the Commanding General, Multi-National Transition Assistance Command- Iraq. He also served two Pentagon tours, first as an Air Staff requirements officer and as the Deputy Director for Cyber Operations for the Deputy Chief of Staff, Headquarters Air Force A3/6.
He is a University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez Graduate, Eisenhower School for National Security and Resources Graduate, and holds an MS in Operational Studies from USAF’s Air Command & Staff College. Additionally he’s a Graduate of Syracuse University’s National Defense Fellow program and the University of Virginia’s Executive Leadership seminar. He is the proud father of three incredibly accomplished daughters; Jay, Andrea and Sofia.
