Julie Stoner is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 19 years of diverse experience in the healthcare landscape and emerging healthcare technologies. Currently serving as the EHR Solution Senior Director at GDIT, she leads pivotal projects related to the modernization of health information technology within the Indian Health Service. Julie's strategic vision and adept leadership have been key drivers in delivering innovative and eƯicient healthcare solutions, enhancing patient outcomes and inter-agency collaboration.
Prior to her role at GDIT, Julie spent 17 impactful years at Cerner Corporation (now Oracle Health), where she played a critical role in transforming healthcare delivery through technology. As Vice President of Federal Consulting, she managed a team of over 900 professionals responsible for the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) and Veterans AƯairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) programs. Under her leadership, Cerner successfully executed the implementation of EHR solutions across more than 1,700 sites, enhancing interoperability between federal healthcare systems.
Her leadership not only facilitated the go-live of critical systems but also reinforced her reputation as a trusted advisor to executive leadership within the VA and Department of Defense. Julie’s initiatives focused on optimizing service delivery, stakeholder engagement, and the strategic alignment of healthcare technologies, ensuring the alignment of Cerner’s solutions with clients’ success metrics. Julie’s expertise spans strategic planning, client management, process improvement, and software integration—skills she leverages to build and lead high-performing teams. An MBA graduate from Park University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Julie has received multiple accolades, including the Chairman's Circle and Strategic Impact of the Year Award. She is also actively involved in community initiatives, including managing synchronized skating teams and participating in women's leadership organizations.
