Kevin McLaughlin is CEO and Director of C Speed LLC, a leading provider of advanced persistent surveillance solutions and engineering services for both commercial and military applications. He is a member of NewSpring Federal, part of NewSpring Holdings’ federal platform investment strategy, where he provides strategic guidance across the platform.
Gen McLaughlin has 42 years of both government and private-sector leadership experience. Prior to his leadership of C Speed, he served as a Director at Avantus, acquired by QinetiQ for $590M in 2022. He is the founder and President of McLaughlin Global Associates LLC and has served on several corporate and nonprofit boards, including as Chairman of Civil Air Patrol’s Board of Governors and co-founder of the Magnify Reach Foundation.
As an Air Force officer, Gen McLaughlin led the nation’s most consequential space and cyberspace organizations, distinguishing himself as a builder of mission-driven teams and cultures. He served as the Deputy at U.S. Cyber Command and led 24th Air Force and Air Forces Cyber. His space leadership roles include command of the GPS squadron, a space operations group, a development and test wing, and the Operationally Responsive Space Office.
Kevin's operational expertise spans all warfighting domains, including deployments as the CENTCOM Director of Space Forces, the Deputy J-3 at U.S. Strategic Command and the Vice Commander of the Air Force Warfare Center. He also served in the Weapons Division of Air Force Legislative Liaison and as a staff member on the Rumsfeld Space Commission.
A 1983 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Kevin played varsity baseball and was a jumpmaster with the Wings of Blue parachute team. He holds an M.A. in Space Systems Management from Webster University.
