A driven and results oriented leader with over 30 years of logistics, supply
chain and operations management experience, including specifically eight (8)
years in industrial activity production and inventory accountability, and 14
years in procurement execution. Notably, Mark directly supported depot level
work at the Naval Aviation Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs) and established the
Supply Chain and Logistics Department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in
Bremerton, WA, where he was key in project availability planning and
execution, material availability management, and project material management.
Mark retired at the rank of Navy Captain (Supply Corps) and was meritoriously
awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, and the
Bronze Star (OIF)after serving in numerous sea-based and shore-based
assignments, including deployments to the Western Pacific (WESTPAC) and on
the ground for Operation IRAQI FREEDOM (OIF).
A native of Tuskegee, AL, and a current resident of Lynnwood, WA, Mark
received his bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA) from Texas
A&M University and received his commission from Officer Candidate School in
November 1990. In addition, Mark earned a master’s degree in business
administration (MBA) from the University of California in Los Angeles (The
Anderson School of Business), in June 2003. He earned certifications for
Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Life Cycle Logistics
Level III, the Navy Acquisition Professional Community (APC) and for ASCM
APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
After retiring from active duty in December 2020, and a brief tenure at
Palantir Technologies (USG), Mark now manages Harris Advisors Group LLC, a
certified veteran-owned small business (VOSB & SDVOSB), advising companies on
resolving maritime focused readiness challenges within the DoW.
