Matt Pierce is the acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs, overseeing global consular operations for the U.S. Department of State. Matt has served in a variety of roles in Consular Affairs, mainly focused on Passport Services, over the past 18 years. He is an alumnus of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida and a native of Staten Island, New York. He currently lives in Berryville, Virginia with his wife and three children.
