A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Colonel Becker was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, Signal Corps, from the University of Southern Colorado Mountain Ranger ROTC Battalion in May 2003. COL Becker currently serves as the G6 for the US Army Intelligence Security Command. He previously served as the G3, 311th Theater Signal Command at Fort Shafter, HI. Previous key Command and Staff assignments include: Cyber and Signal Analyst, HQDA G8 PA&E; Commander, 54th Signal Battalion, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; Partner Engagements Branch Chief, Joint Staff, J6; Aide de Camp to the Army G6; Assistant XO to the CECOM CG; Brigade S3, 15th Signal Brigade; Battalion Executive Officer, 551st Signal Battalion; Commander, 275th Signal Company, 41st Signal Battalion; G6 Network Integration Officer, 8th TSC; Battalion S6, 84th Engineer Battalion; G6 Deputy Automations Officer, 25th Infantry Division; Operations officer, 501st Signal Company, 36th Signal Battalion. Lieutenant Colonel Becker deployed with the 84TH Engineer Battalion in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 05-07 and commanded the 54th Signal Battalion in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (7th Award), Army Commendation Medal (2 Bronze OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 Bronze OLC), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, The Iraqi Campaign Medal (2 CS), Operation Inherent Resolve Medal (1 CS), The National Defense Service Medal, The Korea Defense Service Medal, The Humanitarian Service Medal; The Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and the Combat Action Badge. His military education includes The Signal Officer Basic Course, Signal Captains Career Course, the Brigade Combat Team S6 Course, Command & General Staff College, and the United States Naval War College. His civilian education includes a BS in Business Management from the University of Southern Colorado, a Master of Business Administration from the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii at Manoa, & a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College. Professional Certifications: Colonel Becker currently holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certificate from the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2). Colonel Becker’s Hobbies include Men’s and Children’s Christian Ministries, Smoking meat, Camping, Fishing, Snorkeling, Golf, and Running. In 2012, he completed the Honolulu Marathon. He is married to the former MyungJin Song of Seoul, Korea. They have two daughters, Luci, age 15 and Lisa, age 10.
