Roy Kitchener joined Booz Allen Hamilton in February 2024 as a Senior Executive Advisor to the Navy
and Marine Corps (NMC) business, a worldwide portfolio of complex technical, operational, and
analytical services and solutions.

In this role, he provides strategic and operational support across all mission areas to Fleet Commanders,
Navy Component Commands, Numbered Fleets, Reserve Forces, Type Commands, and Warfighting
Development Centers. He supports Navy force development, force generation, and force employment
readiness processes including capability analysis, maintenance and repair, shipbuilding, wargaming, and
Navy-Marine Corps integration.

Prior to joining Booz Allen, Roy served on active duty for over 39 years and retired as Commander,
Naval Surface Forces/Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet—known as “the SWO Boss.” As a
dedicated Surface Warfare Officer with extensive shipboard and operational experience, he commanded
and deployed with destroyers, a cruiser, and an expeditionary strike group. He also served in a variety of
assignments including special operations, overseas commands, mine warfare, and with the North Atlantic
Treaty Organization (NATO).

Based in Norfolk, Virginia, Roy also supports Booz Allen’s Norfolk Office, which includes over 1,000
employees primarily serving the Defense, Security, and Civil sectors.
Roy is deeply committed to restoring old vehicles, mentoring junior leaders, and giving back to the
military community. He volunteers his time supporting veteran transition programs and military
scholarship programs.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Unity College and a Master of Arts in National
Security Affairs, with a specialization in Western Hemisphere studies, from the Naval Postgraduate
School.
