Brig Gen(S) Mark C. Bigley is the Director, Plans and Programs, Office of the Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Strategy, Plans, Programs, and Requirements, Headquarters Space Force, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. As Resourcing Lead, he is responsible for executing U.S. Space Force programs across the Future Years Defense Plan and the Program Objective Memorandum. Brig Gen(S) Bigley earned his commission in 2002 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. His career includes various assignments in Space and Missiles Operations beginning in Minuteman III ICBM Operations. Brig Gen(S) Bigley is a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Air Force Weapon School, and has served as the Integration Flight Commander at the 611th Air and Space Operations Center and the Chief of the Combat Operations Division Space Cell at the 609th Air and Space Operations Cell. He is a Joint Qualified Officer with assignments at the Joint Staff in the Deputy Directorate for Command, Control, Communications, and Cyber. Additionally, Brig Gen(S) Bigley has served as the Director of Component Plans and Readiness at Headquarters, Space Operations Command. He has also commanded the 1st Space Operations Squadron and Space Delta 9. Prior to his current assignment, Brig Gen(S) Bigley was the Chief of the Current Operations Division at United States Space Command, headquartered at Peterson SFB, Colorado.
